Secret Santa 2022
From Thanksgiving to Christmas, Jolabokaflod CIC is hosting a worldwide party to celebrate the joy of reading. This year we are celebrating Jólabókaflóðið (The Christmas book flood) by sharing with you the chance to gift and receive books from reader friends around the world you have yet to meet.
All you have to do to take part in this Secret Santa book gifting campaign is to send us your first name and best email address. In return, we shall send you full details about how the process works.

About Us
Jolabokaflod CIC exists to promote and popularise the Icelandic "Christmas book flood tradition" – of buying, gifting and reading books over the festive season – everywhere else around the world. Here are the details about how the initiative came to be: our founding story.
How the Secret Santa works
- Send us your first name and email address
- We match you at random with other "Santas"
- You send your book recommendation to one Santa and receive a book gift from another in time for the festive season
- You read and review your gift on social media during the Christmas period using the hashtag #Jolabokaflod
Staying in the loop
- Sign up between now and 12 December 2022, which is first day of Jólasveinar when the Yule Lads start to visit Icelandic children
- We shall then match you at random with two other Santas: for gifting and receiving books
- We shall keep you up to date with "Secret Santa" news via email and social media
